ST-IO – Cresnet Input/Output Module

The Crestron SmarTouch™ STS system is the most user-friendly RF wireless control system on the market today. The basic SmarTouch system (control processor and touchpanel) will accommodate many installations. If you want something more customized or need to include additional devices, our line of expansion modules is just what you need. Each expansion module connects easily to your SmarTouch system. A virtually infinite number of modules can be connected to accommodate all of your system needs. Housed in metal enclosures that match the control processor, modules are rack-mountable with an optional kit.

ST-IO provides eight relay outputs and four digital voltage/closure inputs. The eight relays take care of control to low voltage, contact closure devices such as lights, screens, drapes and A/V switchers. The four digital inputs take a contact closure signal and turn it into a command. An inexpensive motion detector connected to one of the digital inputs can turn on the lights when someone enters the room. For energy and equipment conservation, use that same motion detector to sense NO motion for a period of time, then send a command to shut off the equipment.The ST-IO is a good way to get creative with your control system.
