Sony SRW-5000 HDCAM SR Recorder

Das erste HDCAM SR-Produkt, der Studio Recorder SRW-5000, ist ab September 2003 verfügbar, der Field Recorder SRW-1 wird Anfang 2004 folgen. Beide Produkte sind in der Lage, sowohl RGB 4:4:4 als auch Component 4:2:2 High Definition Video aufzuzeichnen.

HDCAM SR, ein MPEG-4-basiertes Aufnahmeformat mit geringer Kompression. HDCAM SR unterstützt 12 Audiokanäle und ist rückwärts-kompatibel mit HDCAM. Es wurde speziell für besonders anspruchsvolle Highend-Applikationen wie Special Effects, Archivierung und Film-Mastering entwickelt.
